Finalists selected for the INDIE FOOD CHANNEL Competition & Film Festival

TCB-Cafe Publishing & Media proudly announces the Finalists selected for the INDIE FOOD CHANNEL Competition & Film Festival. Entries for this competition were received from around the United States, and five Finalists were chosen, as well as three Honorable Mentions and one Special Mention.

All selected works will be included in upcoming episodes of the INDIE FOOD CHANNEL program.

The INDIE FOOD CHANNEL is a new broadcast format that showcases independent cooking shows, short films and documentaries in a series of programs televised throughout the United States and Canada. The channel, a 60 minute broadcast composed of winning entries to the INDIE FOOD CHANNEL Competition, was created to bring a combination of quality, creativity, and independent spirit to one of the most popular of Reality Television genres. It has also been designed to bring the selected cooking shows the wider visibility and viewership they deserve. In doing so, the INDIE FOOD CHANNEL hopes to help stations address the ongoing difficulty in matching programs to the increasing number of television audiences and advertisers seeking new viewing options.

Special Mention:
"Local Flavors," Steven Kirsh

These programs will be aired in selected television markets nationwide as part of the INDIE FOOD CHANNEL film festival, and will also be sent on DVD to the top food and television critics and media buyers around the country.
